Yu Siong Ho
Marketing Associate
Yu Siong is a second-year doctoral student in the Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences programme at the University of Manchester. His current research focuses on exploring the signalling pathways governing the transporters at the blood-brain barrier. Before undertaking doctoral studies in 2017, Yu Siong worked on a couple of research projects related to drug discovery and formulation targeting neurodegenerative diseases. He holds a Master’s Degree in Medical Sciences in which he successfully earned a patent for establishing an efficient method for the isolation of bioactive compounds from natural products for neurological disorders.
Interested in business development and entrepreneurship, he undertook several jobs in UK, to acquire marketing skills in UKEC and AppUK Companies and customer service skills in King House. His extensive leadership skill was demonstrated by leading Consider Postgraduate Project in Student Union Manchester, Student Wellbeing Society on Campus and Student activities in Oak House.
