Federica Bottiglione

I was born in Italy where I have obtained a Bachelor degree in Biotechnology at the University of l'Aquila and a Master degree in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Siena. I then moved to Manchester where I started a Wellcome Trust-funded PhD and currently finishing my third year. My research mainly focuses on the study of the immune system and its role in inflammation and tumorigenesis.

I am very interested in how academic research and industries can cooperate for the realisation of innovative and beneficial ideas for our society and I think joining the Innovation Forum is the best way to start.
